A password-controlled door is developed using Allen-Bradley programmable logic controller (PLC). Ladder diagram programming was used to develop the logic behind the authentication process of the password. A model is developed using a sliding door, a motor, light indicators, push buttons for password entry, an optical sensor to automatically close the door after entry, and limit switches for feedback indication whether the door is fully open or fully closed.
